About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

„I found myself paying attention not to whether he liked me, but to how I felt in his presence…. This is how committed I am to myself.  I’m more interested in how I feel about me than how he feels about me.“  That’s awesome inner growth.  What I beautiful realization.  She has such a lovely spirit!  Would love to be friends with her.   :-)And a side note:  I just found out that she’s a fellow Virgo, with a bday 3 days before mine.  🙂

I think the problem is loving yourself. You become selfish that way. Not good to love yourself at all. Love others first.

This TEDTalk has genuinely changed my whole perspective on life. I feel like a better person for having watched this and applying some of her lessons in my own life. I’m more forgiving of myself. I feel more whole. More motivated. Just a little bit lighter. I could cry. Thank you, Ms McMillan!!

  15. Justin Sugay sagt:

That was beautiful. I hesitated a few times to continue listening but I’m glad I did… this must take tremendous courage on her part. She’s absolutely right. It’s not that novel an idea but sometimes we really overlook simple ideas as not profound. This nonetheless can be very impactful for some. I wish her the best. Success is more the distance traveled sometimes. Truly the case here. We need more self love in the world so we have more kindness to give first to ourselves then let it overflow to others! That’s my take. .. have a blessed day
