She’s a television producer and writer.

She’s the creator, head writer, executive producer, and showrunner of the medical drama television series Grey’s Anatomy.

She was named one of Time magazine’s 100 People Who Help Shape The World.

She’s Shonda Rhimes and here are her Top 10 Rules for Success.

1. Seize the opportunities
She enrolled at Dartmouth College, where she majored in English and film studies and earned her bachelor’s degree in 1991.

2. Find your calling
She obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

3. Be fulfilled
She worked at a variety of jobs, including an office administrator, and then a counselor at a job center that taught mentally ill people job skills.

4. Respect yourself
In 2001, she wrote Crossroads, the debut film of pop singer Britney Spears.

5. Conquer your fears
In 2003, she wrote her first pilot, about young female globe-trotting war correspondents, for ABC, but the network turned it down.

6. Be authentic
She’s the creator and currently executive producer and head writer of Grey’s Anatomy.

7. Learn how to lead
In 2015, she published a memoir, Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand in the Sun, and Be Your Own Person.

8. Own who you are
ShondaLand is the name of her production company. ShondaLand and its logo also refer to the shows that she has created, and to Rhimes herself.

9. Don’t shy away from difficulties
She has won a Golden Globe award and was nominated for three Emmy Awards.

10. Say yes to what scares you
She has also won awards from the Writer’s Guild of America, Producer’s Guild of America, and Director’s Guild of America.

    Such a poetic women! I too struggle with the hum of enjoying my career and being a mom. I feel like her in a sense because  I love what I do it makes me a better mom. I remember those days when I wasn’t fulfilled I was moody and there playing with my 3 daughters but absent in mind. However once I became more fulfilled and less empty inside I am now able to pour into my beautiful daughters and play and enjoy every moment so  #3 and #10 definitely.


    God should spread the blessing, this particular group is overjoyed, while everyone starves on the streets.
