This is a great video! However I’m going to throw out a challenge to everyone, hopefully we can come to an understanding about Oleary’s strategy. O’leary talks about buying gold, but won’t buy any company that doesn’t pay a dividend. There is a video out there and he says buying any company that doesn’t pay a dividend is pure speculation. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t gold a speculative play?

10:27 „The simple deals are the ones you make money on“

okay Pentagon, pay me $20,000,000 and I won’t destroy you.

Now that’s a simple deal everybody can understand.

i think the idea is to ONLY concentrate your capital into a few assets if u are very familiar with those assets

e.g. investing ur savings and starting ur own business vs buying a diversified portfolio and working at some1 else’s company

u should only start ur own business if u know it well

Number 2 Rule should read ‚NEVER SPEND‘, not ‚EVER SPEND‘. Just for notice.

    Keep it simple.

Business should be create input, get response and reactions from market, and then get output – anymore reasoning beyond is asking for failure.

I’m missing something. In the Focus on Cash Flow rule Kevin says you can start out with a dividend stock that yields 3% but if something happens where the company’s forecast gets slashed and the yield goes to 6% he wouldn’t want to own that stock. Wouldn’t a 6% yield be better?

Robert Kiyosaki and Warren Buffet, both suggest not to diversify. Who to listen to?
