Thank you, I enjoyed watching these videos of Jocko. My son got to meet him at a Mercer University event this past week. Mitch said meeting Jocko was the greatest and most inspirational moment of his life. Mitch plays football at Mercer and said Coach Cain lets them listen to Jocko before practice and games to pump them!!

I think Jocko is over dramatic and lays it on thick. But in the end, he is what he wants to be. I am not. Because of this – he is greater.

Sometimes I wish I don’t have fear. Fear held me back many times in my life where I could be more successful. I have the means to succeed, but I’m too much of a coward.

the biggest is that our brain was designed to protect ourselves from danger or uncomfort zone.so you really have to work at it everyday to have your mind and eyes straight as an arrow.that nothing will get in your way.that every failure is simply an obstacle you have to go through to get to your destination.i can’t imagine the focus and discipline a navy seal.let alone an armed men of our forces to have.

Tristen Baylis I hear ya but you know success comes in all type of ways and you’re just trying to make your word important, so, you aren’t accepting that the law of attraction works in all type of ways. I already said discipline is part of it but most people need motivation and a goal to move forward (short term goals) because otherwise, they won’t do anything. So, because the guy on this video just talks about do and not talk, again, the law of attraction works differently; think about what you hate, erase it and ask the world for what you want. you need to take the want away from that goal and it will come to you. Also, a lot of people get things done by repetition over time or by stating their goals or by writing them down and seeing them. Again, everybody is different and if you don’t learn to read all type of people by what their body movements or eye movements mean, you will not be able to connect with them and as a succesful individual, specially in business, this trait is very important. Anyways, this is a very big topic which can go on and on. Success comes in all type of ways just like people do. Have you watched self development videos for success or videos for law of attraction?

+Nat Nat it’s just ironic because success takes time and a lot longer than most people care to consider when stating their goals. The guy who has been on his grind for 7 years now without much to show for it isn’t still obnoxiously reminding everyone that he will someday be great, no he is merely running off of pure resilience and discipline. I find those who motivated themselves through the announcing of their goal are still in the infant stages of that goal. Unfortunately, it is in the infant stages that dreams end before they start, where the once incredibly motivated have lost hope when they can’t find the necessary grit needed to prevail. I’m not trying to be a downer, I’m just reminding those that motivation only takes you so far and that, as many greats will tell you, discipline is the one concrete truth that will take you to success. On any good motivated day, I can tell you I will be successful. But it’s on the bad days here discipline must kick in.

Tristen Baylis I hear ya but you have to understand that every individual is different. some people are visual, others are physical or auditory…etc. I wish him and everyone who wants to better themselves the best though!
