Many people daydream about traveling the world, but all of them have the same excuse – lack of money. Tomislav, after traveling the world for years with almost no money, shows how it is possible for everyone to do the same, if they really want to.

Tomislav Perko, 29, is a travel writer from Croatia. After a career of a stockbroker, broke because of the financial crisis, he hits the road and turns it into his home. He uses alternative ways of traveling – hitchhiking, couchsurfing, working/volunteering, and manages to wander around the world with just a little bit of money in his pocket, meeting the most amazing people on the way.

Five years later, he publishes a book “1000 Days of Spring” and goes around giving lectures about what it means to live on the road. Find out more on his website: .

The job he did is spectacular..but as a croatia citizen he holds a passport of european union. Thus he can easily get visa for most of the country. But consider a person from sierra leon (only example). A poor person of sierra leon cant even reach to the embassy forget about visa and other things.

  23. Lol at all the annoying 19-23 year-olds who think that after they’ve watched this video, they’ll become expert travellers. As someone who has travelled quite often in their lifetime, I can assure you that many of the things this man are saying are either difficult or highly unrealistic. Start small, then work your way up. If you’ve rarely travelled and book a flight to the likes of Fiji or Southern California, it’s a recipe for disaster. Just saying.

  24. Tanvir Hossain sagt:

visa could be a real issue for an under develop country citizen
