Today’s 10 minute beginner HIIT workout is perfect to do at home, even with your kids! This is a great HIIT workout for beginners because it contains basic HIIT style exercises with shorter interval times. In this 10 minute beginner workout you’ll do just 30 seconds of each exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest. You’ll repeat the entire HIIT workout for beginners twice for a total of a 10 min HIIT workout.

Below are the exercises that make up this 10 minute HIIT workout. There are basic exercises like squats, mountain climbers and burpees that will prepare you for more difficult HIIT workouts in the future. Practice this beginner HIIT workout until it starts to feel more comfortable, and then you can move onto some of the more difficult HIIT workouts on our channel.

The exercises in this beginner HIIT workout are:

1) Squats
2) Mountain Climbers
3) Burpees
4) Plank Touch the Sky
5) Heel Clicks
6) Floor Jacks
7) Super Jump Squats
8) High Knees

  5. I appreciate that this is a great video for some, but the title is misleading! I only had 10 minutes to work out, and I needed to accommodate my grumpy toddler, so I tried this. LOL. By the middle of the video I was just sitting on the floor with him in my lap. I’m not overweight and I am quite active throughout the day, but I am an actual beginner at working out (a concept which this woman seems to have no grasp of). This routine is useless to me at this point.

  16. Sign up ath the YMCA!. They have a sliding fee if your income is low so your membership would be much lower. My friend single mother of 3 pays $35.00 a month with daycare so you end up saving baby sitter costs. Then you’d have time to do Meilssa’s workouts just at the gym instead.

  17. Id say it’s advanced beginner. I was sick 3 weeks and I know I wasn’t gonna start off with heavy calisthenics or cardio so something like this was great for getting me back into the gym

  22. +PinkPirate85 You might want to try our 90 day ATHLEAN-XX for Women program which is circuit strength based.  That means you lift weights but without much rest time in between so as to maximize fat burn…it actually feels like cardio but without the jumping around which might bug your neighbors. To do these at home you do need some minimal equipment like an exercise ball, a couple sets of dumbbells and an exercise band.  But since the workouts are only 30 mins long, you can probably sneak them in while the kiddos are napping!

  23. p.s. I don’t have and equipment that I can use, so I would have to use either a sack of flour, can of soup, or my children for weight training

  24. I just found you channel so I haven’t really had time to look around. I am trying to mix up my workouts/find ones that work best for me and my life. Despite the fact that my apartment building having a small fitness center, I am a single mother of two small children (my oldest is 2 1/2 and my baby is 9 months), I am finding it hard to get to go so that I can work out. I am wondering if you have anything for me that would 1. be friendly to my neighbor under me and 2. maybe include my children and encourage them (well my two year old) to get up and moving with me. Thank you.
